This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Monday through Sunday; 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM. There are no call requirements and weekends may be required.

Job Description

The Respiratory Therapist will provide care to adult patients in a fast-paced hospital environment. Responsibilities include administering nebulizer treatments, managing oxygen therapy, and providing ventilator support. The therapist will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimum patient care and will use the facility’s EMR for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments as prescribed by physicians.
• Monitor and assess patients' respiratory needs and responses to therapy.
• Manage ventilator care and oxygen delivery systems.
• Document patient care activities accurately in the EMR.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience

• Active RRT certification required.
• Current BLS certification.
• Experience in critical care or acute care settings is preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification is a plus for those working with pediatric populations.
