Schedule/Shift
This position requires three 12-hour night shifts per week from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.
Job Description
The Emergency Department at Capital Regional Medical Center features 39 beds and operates under a patient ratio of 1:4. The team is supported by one unit secretary and 2-3 techs on the floor. The department utilizes advanced equipment including Crash Carts, Level One, Alaris Pumps, and Dash bedside cardiac monitors, and documentation is managed through MediTech.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency care to patients in the Emergency Department.
- Assist with intubation and emergency lifesaving procedures.
- Perform various procedures including chest tubes, moderate sedation, lumbar punctures, laceration repair, and administration of blood products.
- Engage in patient rounding and bedside shift reports within the established timeframe of 30 minutes to one hour.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting.
- Demonstrated multitasking ability and throughput focus.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current certifications in ACLS, BLS, and PALS are required.
