Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will provide critical care in a fast-paced environment, managing a diverse patient population. This unit features 12 beds with a patient ratio of 4:1. The RN will utilize a state-of-the-art documentation system (MEDITECH) and be expected to float between multiple emergency departments, including two free-standing emergency departments (FSED) and the main emergency room.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality emergency care to patients.
• Assess and triage patients accurately in a timely manner.
• Administer medications and treatments per protocol.
• Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of Emergency Room experience.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN licensure in Florida.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certified.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certified.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certified.
• National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale certification.
