12-hour shifts (D/E/N) with rotating schedules; can accommodate 48 hours per week.

Job Description

Join our dedicated team in the Operating Room, where you will work with a diverse patient population across various surgical specialties. Our facility includes cutting-edge technology, such as two Davinci robots, and specializes in orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma care within a level 1 trauma center.

Responsibilities

• Assist in surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining the sterile field.
• Handle and pass instruments efficiently during surgeries.
• Ensure proper care and handling of surgical instruments and equipment.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to provide optimal patient care.
• Maintain a clean and organized operating environment.

Required Experience

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience in an operating room setting.
• Experience in a level 1 trauma center is highly preferred.
• NBSTSA Certification or equivalent experience as a Surgical Technologist for at least one year within the last four years prior to January 2015.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active BLS certification (American Heart Association ONLY).
• NBSTSA Tech License (New York License ONLY) or 10 years of related experience.
