ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Telemetry (Night Shift) in Charleston, West Virginia.

Schedule/Shift

3x12 hour Night shifts from 7 PM to 7 AM, with every other weekend required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide care in a telemetry unit specializing in cardiac care, including patients with Acute MI, unstable angina, CHF, and CVA surgical patients. The unit consists of 39 beds, experiencing a high turnover rate with an average census of 24 patients. The role requires proficiency in managing cardiac drips such as heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, dobutamine, dopamine, and nitro, as well as experience in post Cardiac Cath and post Angiogram care.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to adult and geriatric patients within a telemetry setting.
• Manage and monitor patients receiving cardiac drips and telemetric evaluations.
• Perform necessary procedures including cardioversion, thoracentesis, and central line insertion as needed.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to deliver optimal patient care.
• Documentation of patient progress and treatment courses using Cerner electronic health records.

Required Experience

• Minimum of 2 years of RN experience required.
• Experience with telemetry and managing cardiac drips is essential.
• Post Cardiac Cath and Angiogram experience required.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current West Virginia or compact RN license required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications through the American Heart Association (AHA) are required.
