Schedule/Shift
12-hour night shifts, with options for 36 or 48 hours per week. Every other weekend is required.
Job Description
The Labor and Delivery unit offers comprehensive care for obstetrical patients, supporting deliveries and postpartum care in the same suite. The unit manages a variety of cases including labor inductions, IUFDs, multiple drips (such as Pitocin, magnesium, and insulin), preterm labor, multiple gestations, preeclampsia, and postpartum hemorrhages. A focus on circulating in the OR and recovering C-sections is necessary for this role.
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients 14 weeks and above who are seen in triage and labor at 20 weeks or more.
- Administer interventions for 22 weeks and above including offer resuscitation.
- Document using EPIC.
- Float within Women's Services as needed.
- Be available for on-call shifts as required.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery.
- Experience with at least 400 births per month.
- Capability to recover C-sections and manage complex cases.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current BCLS certification.
- AWHONN Intermediate or Advanced certification.
- NRP certification.
- Valid RN license, NC or Compact license pending OK for submittal.
