Day shift from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, guaranteed 36 hours per week.
Job Description
As a Registered Nurse in the Labor and Delivery unit at Mission Hospital, you will be part of a dynamic team dedicated to providing exceptional care to expectant mothers and newborns. The unit features 16 beds and is staffed with a highly skilled team of 120 professionals. You will have the opportunity to work with advanced technologies, including Baxter Pumps and Philips electronic fetal monitoring systems, within a supportive environment that promotes nursing excellence.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient care in high-risk situations, providing immediate care for newborns.
- Perform vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, cerclage, and C-hyst procedures.
- Monitor patients using electronic fetal monitoring systems.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure the highest quality of patient care.
- Document and maintain accurate patient records using the Cerner EMR system.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Labor and Delivery, with experience in high-risk cases.
- Immediate newborn care experience.
Certifications/Licensure
- NRP certification required.
- BLS and ALS certification required.
- Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification required.
