This is a 13-week contract position.
Schedule/Shift
This position is for 3x12-hour night shifts, from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, with at least 8 weekend shifts per contract. Some holidays may also be required.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide care in a general Emergency Department, serving a diverse patient population including adolescents, adults, and pediatrics. Responsibilities include blood product administration, central line care and management, phlebotomy, starting IVs, continuous IV sedation, and the administration of IV vasopressors. Nurses will also perform procedural sedation, manage CPAP/BiPAP, interpret ABGs, and care for ventilated patients while maintaining a modified patient ratio of 1:5.
Responsibilities
- Administer blood products and provide central line care and management.
- Perform phlebotomy and start IVs as required.
- Manage continuous IV sedation and IV vasopressors.
- Administer procedural sedation, CPAP/BiPAP, and interpret ABGs.
- Provide triage and manage care for ventilated patients.
Required Experience
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department setting.
- Experience with general adult and pediatric emergency care.
Certifications/Licensure
- Active RN license required.
- BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and PALS certifications are required.
- EPIC charting experience is mandatory.
