Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a telemetry unit, providing both routine and complex care to patients. The nurse will be responsible for monitoring patients, administering medications, and ensuring adherence to established protocols. This role involves strong clinical judgment and the ability to assess patient needs in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process for assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Manage complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families.
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and effectiveness.
• Document patient history, symptoms, medications, and care provided.
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, families, and caregivers.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate responsibilities to other care providers.

Required Experience

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• At least 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred.

Certifications/Licensure

• BLS required (AHA only).
• ACLS required (AHA only).
• RN License in the state of Texas or compact.
