Night Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM, with weekends required (2 per pay period). No call requirements.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the PCU will provide critical care and telemetry for patients with complex medical needs, including post-cardiac cath lab patients and stroke patients. The unit consists of 24 beds and requires nurses to be competent in interpreting rhythms using GE remote telemetry, as well as familiar with Meditech EMR.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care in a telemetry unit.
- Monitor and interpret cardiac rhythms and vital signs.
- Conduct bedside shift report and maintain patient communication boards.
- Lead care coordination meetings as needed.
Required Experience
- ACLS certification is required.
- Experience in a critical care or telemetry nursing role preferred.
- Leadership experience as a charge nurse is preferred.
Certifications/Licensure
- Current RN license in the state of Texas.
- ACLS and BLS certification required.
