ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Progressive Care Unit (Night Shift) in Lewisville, Texas.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Night Shift - 7 PM to 7 AM, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week. Weekend coverage is required every other weekend. Call requirements will be discussed during the interview.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) will provide high-quality care to patients requiring intermediate level monitoring and treatment. This position involves assessing patient needs, developing individualized care plans, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. The unit utilizes Meditech for documentation and supports various medical equipment typically found in a PCU setting.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients' conditions and vital signs.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
• Develop and implement nursing care plans.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner using Meditech.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families.
• Assist with procedures and manage patient care equipment.

Required Experience

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in a Progressive Care Unit or similar environment.

Certifications/Licensure

Active RN license in Texas is required. BLS certification is mandatory. ACLS certification is preferred.
