ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Emergency Department (Day Shift) in Dallas, Texas.

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule/Shift

Day shift, from 11:00 AM to 11:00 PM, with weekend shifts required every other week. Guaranteed hours are 36 per week. Call requirements may apply.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department will provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. The nurse will utilize the Meditech documentation system and be prepared to float as needed. The position requires handling emergencies, stabilizing patients, and collaborating with medical professionals to deliver effective care.

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Provide emergency treatment and interventions as necessary.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in Meditech.
• Supervise and mentor junior staff and students as needed.

Required Experience

• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• 2 years of specialty experience in Emergency Nursing.
• Familiarity with NIH protocols.

Certifications/Licensure

• Active RN license (temporary licenses will not be accepted).
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required.
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required.
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification required.
• Experience with MEDITECH is preferred but not mandatory.
