Schedule/Shift

12-hour weekend night shifts (Friday, Saturday, Sunday, Monday), with holidays as scheduled.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse on the 7NE Ortho/Tele unit will provide care for patients with orthopedic needs, specifically focusing on joints, replacements, and fractures. This acute care setting includes a total of 22 beds, with nurse-to-patient ratios of 1:5-6. The nurse will work alongside a charge nurse 24/7 and will have the support of three certified nursing assistants per shift.

Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to orthopedic patients with a focus on total joint replacement.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation via the EPIC charting system.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to facilitate optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.

Required Experience

• Strong orthopedic nursing experience is required.
• Previous experience in a Medsurg/Ortho setting.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current BLS certification is required.
• A valid RN license is necessary for submission.
