Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in caring for acute populations and a strong understanding of emergency procedures and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Perform airway and respiratory procedures, including intubation assistance and ventilator management.
• Provide vascular access including IV insertion, arterial line assistance, and central line management.
• Conduct primary and secondary trauma assessments and manage trauma resuscitations.
• Oversee emergency procedures, including procedural sedation and behavioral emergency interventions.
• Monitor and manage neurological emergencies and stroke assessments.
• Coordinate patient education and transfers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure required.
• ACLS, PALS, BLS, TNCC, ENPC, NIH, CPI certifications required.
• Experience caring for acute populations.
• Knowledge of Meditech EMR necessary.
• Preferred: Trauma center experience.
