Registered Nurse - High Risk Labor and Delivery

7 PM - 7 AM, with weekend and rotating shifts required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will work in a high-risk obstetrical unit, responsible for providing care to labor and delivery patients. This role includes bedside training, circulating in cesarean sections, and recovering high acuity patients. The successful candidate will be skilled in assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care for obstetrical patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to high risk labor and delivery patients.
• Assist in vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections.
• Monitor fetal heart tones and maternal vital signs using GE fetal monitors.
• Document patient care using Meditech and CPNS systems.
• Participate in patient education and family support.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to ensure quality patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in high risk labor and delivery care.
• Current RN license.
• Intermediate AWONN fetal monitoring certificate preferred.
• Experience in obstetric triage and high acuity patient recovery.
