Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Days

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

3x12-Hour shifts, Days, from 6:45 AM to 7:15 PM, with holiday rotation. Every other weekend is required.

Job Description

The Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) will provide care and support to patients across various departments, including critical care environments. The candidate is expected to be proficient in critical respiratory interventions and able to float within the hospital to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities

• Administer respiratory therapy treatments and perform evaluations
• Manage and monitor patients requiring respiratory care in various settings
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Assist in high-risk deliveries and critical care situations
• Conduct and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and practices
• Stay compliant with all hospital protocols and standards

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent critical care experience as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
• Current South Carolina Respiratory Care Provider (RCP) license
• National certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, PALS, and NBRC (RRT) must be in hand at the time of start
• Previous experience with Epic charting system is required
