Registered Nurse - Orthopedic/Telemetry

Schedule

This is a 13-week contract position, with 12-hour night shifts scheduled for Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays. Travelers are expected to work into the holiday rotation.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for an Ortho/Tele unit. The nurse will provide care for patients with orthopedic diagnoses, specifically focusing on joints, replacements, and fractures.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions on the Ortho/Tele unit.
• Administer medications and treatments per established protocols.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and families regarding post-operative care and recovery.
• Document all nursing assessments, interventions, and responses in the electronic medical record (EPIC).

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have strong orthopedic experience with total joint replacement.
• BLS certification is required.
• Active RN license.
