ARMStaffing is looking for a Registered Nurse, Medical-Surgical (Night Shift) in Morgantown, West Virginia.

Schedule/Shift

Night shift, 4x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30), with 3 weekend shifts required every 4 weeks.

Job Description

The Medicine Unit is a dynamic 34-bed unit dedicated to providing exceptional care for patients with a wide range of acute medical conditions. The team collaborates closely to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a challenging yet rewarding environment. The unit utilizes an acuity tool to optimize patient assignments, ensuring appropriate staffing levels and effective patient care management.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality care to patients in a medical-surgical environment.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Monitor and assess patients’ vital signs and health status.
• Document patient information accurately using Cerner EMR.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including IV teams, respiratory services, and pharmacy.
• Engage in daily huddles and participate in patient flow management and rounding.

Required Experience

Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing is required, including strong knowledge in telemetry and acute patient care.

Certifications/Licensure

• Current RN license in West Virginia or compact state.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS).
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).
• National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification.
