Outpatient Physical Therapist

Assignment Duration

This is a 6-month contract position with a start date of December 21st.

Schedule

Shift: 5x8.0 - 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Two patients per hour.

Job Description

The Outpatient Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients to develop, implement, and modify treatment plans according to the patients' needs, goals, and physician direction. Responsibilities include delegating and directing therapy services, ensuring functional treatment programs for effective community reintegration, and serving as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients.
• Develop appropriate treatment plans and goals focused on progressing patients towards discharge.
• Document patient care clearly and accurately in compliance with guidelines.
• Provide care under signed, valid physician orders and within insurance approval.
• Participate in student programs and provide supervision and evaluations.
• Engage in professional development and continuing education.
• Understand and apply organizational performance improvement methodologies.
• Adhere to state practice acts and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Promote patient and employee safety with a focus on key areas.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited school.
• 6 months to 1+ year of outpatient clinical experience preferred.
• Current CPR certification.
• Maintenance of good standing in professional licensure.
