Registered Nurse - Endoscopy

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

4x9s (36 hours/week), scheduled Monday to Friday, with on-call responsibilities. Shifts may start at 6:30 AM, 7:00 AM, or 7:30 AM depending on the assigned role for the day. Call rotation includes two full weekends of call and one weekday per week, with a 1-hour response time.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse applies nursing theory, technical, and communication skills to deliver high-quality compassionate care to patients and families. The Endoscopy RN conducts patient assessments, develops care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams, provides direct care, and ensures effective patient progress evaluation.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care through patient assessments and individualized care plans.
• Provide direct patient care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric populations with medical conditions.
• Ensure consistent communication and coordination with healthcare team members.
• Teach patients and families about self-care and lifestyle changes post-hospitalization.
• Maintain a Healing Environment through compassionate care and support.
• Document patient education and responses accurately.
• Participate in quality improvement activities and engage in self-evaluation of nursing practice.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York State RN Licensure.
• 1 year experience as a Registered Nurse in an Endoscopy environment.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications are required.
