Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30). The role includes 4 weekend shifts per month (mandatory on call 2 times per month in addition to scheduled shifts).

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery will provide care for patients in a dynamic environment, responsible for overseeing various stages of labor and delivering comprehensive patient care. The role will require familiarity with electronic health record systems (EPIC) and the ability to float to Perinatal if needed.

Responsibilities

• Utilize external fetal monitoring for patient assessments.
• Recognize and treat abnormal fetal heart rate patterns.
• Circulate and assist during C-sections as required.
• Provide care for patients across the spectrum from neonates to adults experiencing low and high-risk labor and delivery scenarios.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including OB hospitalists and anesthesia providers.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 3 years of nursing experience, specifically in Labor & Delivery.
• Active California RN license is required at the time of submission.
• Required certifications include AHA BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced.
• Experience with EPIC electronic health record system is mandatory.
