Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift available: 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00, with the option for 4x12-hour shifts upon request. Floating between like units may be required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive care to patients during labor and the postpartum period. The role includes working in an acute care hospital setting, assessing and monitoring patient health, and collaborating with medical staff to ensure optimal care outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Administer assessments and provide care in labor and delivery settings.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and postpartum recovery.
• Monitor fetal heart patterns and manage complications.
• Support patients with breastfeeding and provide lactation support.
• Educate families on newborn care and postpartum health.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience is required.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Certifications: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS.
