Job Description

The Orthopedic Unit is seeking experienced Registered Nurses to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment. Nurses will be responsible for managing orthopedic, neuro spine, med-surg, and post-surgical patients, ensuring effective pain management and patient satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to pre and post-surgical orthopedic and spine patients.
• Administer medications and manage pain effectively.
• Monitor vital signs and patient conditions using telemetry.
• Manage IV starts and peripheral line care.
• Participate in patient education and discharge planning.
• Float to other medical-surgical units as needed based on staffing requirements.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an orthopedic setting.
• Current BCLS certification; ACLS preferred.
• Experience with Epic charting system.
• NC or Compact RN license required.
• Charge nurse experience is a plus.
