Job Description

The Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care in a Medical/Surgical Telemetry environment, ensuring patient safety and optimal health outcomes. The nurse will work within a multidisciplinary team to deliver care to a diverse patient population with complex medical conditions.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for medical/surgical patients requiring telemetry monitoring.
• Utilize rapid response protocols and interpret dysrhythmias.
• Administer IV insulin per protocols and manage feeding tubes.
• Conduct pre/post hemodialysis management and administer blood products.
• Perform central line blood draws and phlebotomy tasks.
• Administer and manage medications, including PCA and heparin.
• Monitor patients on CPAP/BiPAP and other respiratory interventions.
• Implement isolation precautions and conduct wound care as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar nursing role.
• Experience with telemetry and medical/surgical nursing preferred.
• Current RN licensure (NC or Compact state) is required.
• BCLS certification is necessary.
• EKG testing must be passed prior to start.
