Med/Surg Registered Nurse - Night Shift

Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Med/Surg Registered Nurse for a night shift position. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical-surgical environment, along with strong telemetry skills and experience in managing complex patient diagnoses. The nurse will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care, interpreting and managing dysrhythmias, and administering medications and blood products while adhering to safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to patients with diverse medical needs.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings.
• Perform phlebotomy, manage IVs, and care for central lines and PICC lines.
• Administer medications and manage hemodialysis pre/post procedures.
• Support patients with bowel obstruction, colostomy/ileostomy management, and feeding tube care.
• Work effectively with Rapid Response and Code teams as required.
• Document patient care and communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Med/Surg setting.
• Current BLS certification; NIHSS preferred.
• Ability to float to other units as necessary.
• Charge experience is preferred; ACLS certification is a plus.
