Registered Nurse - Telemetry - Night Shift

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12 hours (19:00 - 07:30), including every other weekend and holidays as needed.

Job Description

This position involves providing specialized care for stroke (neuro) patient populations in an inpatient setting with a variety of co-morbidities. RNs will be responsible for telemetry monitoring, managing feeding tubes, administering blood products, and performing central and peripheral line care.

Responsibilities

• Perform telemetry monitoring for patients.
• Care for patients with feeding tubes and manage their care.
• Administer blood products and provide central and peripheral line care.
• Manage PICC line and starting of IVs.
• Implement isolation precautions and provide wound care.
• Utilize Epic for charting and patient documentation.
• Care for patients with cerebrovascular accidents (CVAs) and use nasal cannula for oxygen therapy.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience required.
• Experience with telemetry and remote monitoring preferred.
• BLS and NIH certification required.
• Active RN license required at the time of submission.
• Pass Fail EKG exam required for all RNs, regardless of specialty.
