Night shift, 3-12 hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00). Every other holiday required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) provides direct patient care, assessing and monitoring patient conditions and ensuring that medical protocols are followed. The nurse will work closely with patients who require step-down care, managing a variety of clinical situations effectively and ensuring optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patient conditions, including vital signs and ECG readings.
• Administer medications and perform medical procedures as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and care plans.
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 18 months of permanent experience in Progressive Care Unit or Stepdown.
• Must have a current and valid Ohio RN license or compact state license.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required.
• ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessments required during orientation.
