Staff RN - 7pm to 7:30am

Job Description

The registered nurse assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and supervises individual patient care using the nursing process. Accepts responsibility for direction of co-workers and delegation of role-appropriate tasks in the implementation of care. Performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with established policies, procedures, and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care of each patient according to the nursing process.
• Provide quality care based on assessment needs and established plan of care/pathway.
• Educate the patient and family/significant other from admission through discharge process.
• Document the nursing process/pathway accurately and concisely.
• Notify physicians of pertinent observations and changes in patient status.
• Administer medications and perform treatments safely and accurately.
• Implement physician orders as written.
• Ensure equipment and supplies are readily available for patient care, reporting malfunctions to the appropriate department.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Completion of an accredited nursing program resulting in a valid license to practice in the State of Ohio.
• CPR certification required.
• Previous registered nursing experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and make independent decisions.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

Schedule

This position operates on a 7pm to 7:30am shift.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
