Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for Long-Term Care

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

This position is part-time, requiring a minimum of every other weekend. The schedule may be adjusted to meet the needs of the unit and patient care. Travelers are expected to work 2 out of 4 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day. No self-scheduling is available, but there may be opportunities to pick up additional shifts.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our long-term care team. The LPN will provide essential nursing care, collaborate with healthcare teams, and assist with the daily living activities of patients in a long-term care setting.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
• Monitor and report changes in patients' conditions
• Assist with daily living activities and personal care
• Collaborate with nursing staff and healthcare professionals in the care of patients
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Current AHA BLS certification required
• New York LPN license or proof of application with applied date is required at the time of submission
• Ability to cover CNA duties as needed
