Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule

DAYS - 12HR: 3A-3P / 7A-7P rotation. A total of 36 hours per week is required, with one weekend shift per contracted week or two weekend shifts every other weekend. Candidates must also work at least one holiday per contract.

Job Description

This position is in a large, high-acuity Emergency Department with 80 treatment spaces. The team is experienced, collaborative, and supportive, with a strong focus on high-quality patient care, including specialized geriatric emergency care as the area’s first ACEP accredited geriatric ED.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in specialized geriatric emergency care initiatives.
• Utilize EPIC for patient charting and documentation.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of recent nursing experience in a similar setting.
• Active New York RN license.
• Current certifications in NIH Stroke Scale and AHA BLS.
• 2 years of U.S. work history is required for non-U.S. candidates.
