Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Night shift, 3x12-Hour schedule (19:00 - 07:30). 36 guaranteed hours per week. Every other weekend required.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in managing critically ill patients and will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment.

Responsibilities

• Interpret and manage heart rhythm changes (dysrhythmias).
• Care for critically ill patients with multi-organ issues.
• Administer blood products and manage central lines.
• Start and maintain IVs, as well as administer IV sedation and vasopressors.
• Provide care for stroke patients and those requiring ventilation support.
• Manage BiPAP/CPAP and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs).
• Adhere to isolation precautions and perform triage as necessary.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 1.5 years of nursing experience, with at least 2 years of recent ER experience.
• Active nursing license required (New York or a compact license).
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS, PALS.
• No disciplinary issues on nursing license.
