Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Schedule

This position offers a rotating schedule consisting of 12-hour night shifts (3P-3A or 7P-7A) and requires a commitment of 36 hours per week. One weekend shift is required per week or two weekend shifts every other week. Candidates must also be available to work at least one holiday during the contract period.

Job Description

The role is within a large, high-acuity Emergency Department featuring 80 treatment spaces. The team is composed of experienced, collaborative professionals focused on delivering high-quality patient care, including specialized geriatric emergency care, as it is the area's first ACEP accredited geriatric ED.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include providing direct patient care, conducting assessments, and managing acute care situations within the Emergency Department setting. Collaboration with a supportive team is essential to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years recent nursing experience.
• 2 years of U.S. work history required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active New York RN license.
• Certifications in NIH and AHA BLS.

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.
