Maternal Child Health Registered Nurse (RN)

Schedule

This position requires a Night Shift from 7 PM to 7:30 AM with weekends required every third weekend.

Job Description

The Maternal Child Health RN is responsible for the care and management of a designated group of patients, utilizing the nursing process in collaboration with other healthcare team members. The RN will demonstrate the necessary knowledge and skills to provide care relevant to patients at various stages of development, applying principles of growth and development across the lifespan.

Responsibilities

• Assess and interpret patient data to identify individual patient needs based on age-specific requirements.
• Function as a primary RN in Labor & Delivery, Newborn Nursery, Level II Nursery, and Mother-Baby and GYN patients.
• Provide high standards of care and safety in accordance with the assigned department's protocols when floated.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New Mexico or Multi-State RN Licensure.
• Basic Life Support (AHA) required upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (AHA) required upon hire.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program certification required upon hire.
• AWOHHN Fetal Monitoring certification required upon hire.
• STABLE certification preferred.
• Baby-Friendly experience preferred.
• Three years of experience in Labor and Delivery, Nursery, and Med-Surg (Medical Surgical) is required.
• Proficiency with Meditech or comparable EMR documentation preferred.

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.
