Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts (07:00 - 19:30), with options of 36 or 48 hours. Weekend requirements include 4-6 weekend shifts per 6 weeks.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse to provide exceptional care in a high-volume setting. The ideal candidate will have experience in antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum care, assisting with both high-risk and routine deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to patients during labor and delivery, including triaging obstetrical patients.
• Assist with high-risk deliveries and C-sections, maintaining a sterile environment.
• Utilize external fetal monitoring equipment effectively.
• Implement anticoagulation therapy and manage insulin drips.
• Maintain central lines (CVC/PICC) and provide postpartum care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 3 years of experience preferred in Labor and Delivery.
• Current certifications required: ACLS, AWHONN Intermediate, BLS, and NRP (pending certifications acceptable).
• Previous charge experience is preferred.
