Travel Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 06:30 AM to 07:00 PM. Floating required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse is accountable for providing comprehensive care during the antepartum, intrapartum, immediate postpartum, and neonatal phases of Obstetrical care to Labor and Delivery patients. The RN utilizes the Nursing Process according to state Nurse Practice Act and Hospital protocols, demonstrating critical thinking, scientific judgment, and leadership for safe delivery of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care across antepartum triage, active labor, postpartum, and special care nursery phases.
• Utilize EMR systems: MedHost (inpatient), GE Centricity (OB), and Athena (Clinic).
• Maintain clinical competencies through continuing education and delegation of patient care priorities.
• Supervise assigned personnel delivering patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of Labor and Delivery RN experience.
• ACLS, BLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications required.
