Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) with expertise in Labor & Delivery and Nursery care. The ideal candidate will perform essential patient care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, and clinical treatments. The RN will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care while ensuring effective communication with the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
Responsibilities
- Assist patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborate across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfers, discharges, and referrals.
- Evaluate learning needs of patients and families, providing age and culturally appropriate education.
- Advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of patients.
- Circumvent during C-Sections and assist during deliveries as needed.
- Conduct neonatal assessments post-delivery and attend fetal monitoring certification classes every two years.
- Follow policies for the recovery and care of surgical patients.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Active RN license in Wyoming or multi-state.
- At least 2 years of recent RN Level 1 Nursery, Postpartum, OB/GYN, and Labor & Delivery experience.
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, STABLE, and AWHONN (must be current and through the American Heart Association).
- Ability to float to other units based on facility needs.
Assignment Duration
This is a 13-week contract position.
