Part-Time LPN Position

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

All contracts must run through the holiday season, and healthcare professionals must be available for full shift orientation.

Job Description

The LPN will perform direct and indirect resident care as per the established plan within the scope of practice defined by the certification. The LPN must demonstrate knowledge of the growth and development principles across the life span and possess the ability to assess and interpret data reflective of each patient’s status, particularly tailored to adult and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

• Provide assistance with residents' Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and positioning.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment by monitoring safety protocols and addressing residents' needs promptly.
• Meet nutritional needs in accordance with the plan of care, ensuring residents' preferences are honored.
• Implement rehabilitative and maintenance care, including exercises and safe mobility support.
• Report any changes in residents' physical, emotional, or psychosocial status to the Charge Nurse in a timely manner.
• Adhere to safety and infection control practices, including awareness of potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current NY LPN Licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification (AHA or RQI only)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a Long-Term Care or CNA capacity
• High School Diploma or GED
