Part-Time Registered Nurse (RN) - Long-Term Care

Schedule

Part-time day or night shift; variable, as needed. Every other weekend and holidays are required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in this position will provide both direct and indirect skilled nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility. This role will involve working collaboratively with other nursing staff, physicians, and ancillary staff while adhering to established policies and procedures. The RN is expected to maintain and enhance clinical expertise through ongoing education and training.

Responsibilities

• Collect ongoing data related to residents’ physical and psychosocial conditions and communicate findings with the interdisciplinary team.
• Contribute to the development of age-appropriate and culturally relevant care plans, involving residents and families in the care process.
• Recommend revisions to care plans based on evaluations and resident outcomes, ensuring comprehensive care.
• Mentor and orient new staff members, promoting teamwork and collaboration.
• Ensure safety and quality in the delivery of nursing care while maintaining a healthy, safe environment for all residents.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New York LPN Licensure
• BLS certification (AHA or RQI only)
• Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in a long-term care setting
