Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) - Night Shift

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Medical Surgical Oncology Registered Nurse (RN) to join our MS/Onc Unit. The ideal candidate will possess strong Med/Surg experience and be capable of managing patients with both medical and surgical needs, including oncology-related diagnoses.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to a primarily medical-surgical patient population with oncology history.
• Administer chemotherapy, biotherapy, and other medications as needed.
• Manage central and peripheral lines, including PICC line management.
• Perform wound care and handle other special procedures as required.
• Monitor patient vitals and adjust care plans based on patient needs.
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and contribute to patient care planning.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum 2 years of relevant nursing experience required; 1st-time travelers accepted.
• Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice; compact license pending is acceptable.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
• Oncology certification preferred; ability to administer chemotherapy is necessary.
• CPI certification preferred.
• Charge nurse experience is a plus.
