Registered Nurse - Med/Surg Telemetry

Assignment Duration

This is a 16-week contract position.

Schedule

Shift: NIGHTS - 12HR: 7P-7A. 36 and 48 hours available per week. Must work 1 weekend shift per week or 2 weekend shifts every other weekend. Required to work at least 1 holiday per contract.

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Med/Surg Telemetry unit. The unit consists of 37 beds and focuses on the care of patients requiring complex medical and telemetry support. The ideal candidate must be flexible and willing to adapt to the scheduling needs of the facility.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive care to patients in a med/surg telemetry setting.
• Monitor vital signs and patient telemetry as required.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain accurate patient records using EPIC charting system.
• Float to other units as needed and take charge when required.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 1 year recent experience in acute medical-surgical/telemetry nursing.
• 2 years of U.S. work experience required for non-U.S. candidates.
• Active NY RN license.
• AHA BLS certification.
