Registered Nurse - Telemetry and Cardiology Experience Required

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Monday through Friday, 07:30 AM to 04:00 PM. Saturday call shifts are required from 07:00 AM to 11:00 AM for inpatient studies.

Job Description

The registered nurse (RN) will work in the Heart and Vascular Institute, performing various stress tests, including plain treadmill, nuclear stress, and stress echocardiogram. Cardiologists will be onsite to read all studies and participate during dobutamin stress testing. A Nuclear Medicine Technologist will also be present for nuclear stress tests. The RN will be responsible for learning and implementing stress testing protocols, starting IVs, and administering Definity as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform stress testing: treadmill, nuclear stress, and echocardiogram.
• Collaborate with onsite cardiologists during procedures.
• Administer medications as per protocol (e.g., Definity).
• Learn and implement testing protocols effectively.
• Start IVs for patient care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Active RN license required.
• Telemetry and cardiology experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Epic software for reporting is an advantage.
• Certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) is recommended.
