Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN)

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Day shift, 5x8-hour schedule (06:30 - 15:00). Rotating weekends, primarily M-F shifts, with call requirements.

Job Description

The Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) will provide high-quality nursing care in the surgical environment. The RN will be expected to assist with various surgical procedures, including orthopedic, neuro, and robotic surgeries while adhering to safety standards and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgery and provide for their needs during the procedure.
• Assist in surgical operations, managing instruments and supplies as needed.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to any changes during surgery.
• Provide post-surgical care and support for patients recovering from anesthesia.
• Ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting required.
• Current ACLS and BLS certifications are mandatory.
• Preferred CNOR certification.
• California RN license in good standing required.
• Experience in orthopedic, neuro, and robotic surgeries is necessary; candidates with at least two of these skills may be considered.
