Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN)

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

8-hour Day shift with varied start times; some weekends may be required.

Job Description

Join a Level II Trauma center with responsibilities in the outpatient surgery department, with the potential to float to the main OR as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the operating room.
• Assist with patient positioning and monitoring during surgical procedures.
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current licensure with the California Board of Registered Nursing.
• Minimum of 2 years recent Operating Room experience.
• Successful completion of travel assignments.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Experience with EPIC electronic medical records.
• ACLS and PALS certifications are preferred but not required.
