CVICU Registered Nurse - 13-Week Contract Position

Schedule

Shift: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM (7a - 7:30p) with a minimum of 36 hours scheduled and 24 hours guaranteed. Weekends, holidays, and floating as per department guidelines.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced CVICU Registered Nurse with a strong background in direct open-heart recovery, including experience with Impella and balloon pumps. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of CVICU experience, with significant recent experience in the last 12 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional patient care and support in the CVICU unit.
• Perform assessments and monitor patient condition post-open heart surgery.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
• Utilize advanced technologies including Impella and balloon pumps.
• Collaborate with the medical team to optimize patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 24 months of CVICU experience with recent practice in the last 12 months.
• Current and valid RN license to practice without any hits.
• Active ACLS certification from an AHA-approved vendor.
• Active BLS certification from an AHA-approved vendor.
• Driver's license to verify residency.
• Travel experience is highly preferred.
