6 pm to 6 am, 36 hours per week. Weekends required, holidays potentially required.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) for the Family Birthing Center will independently assess and evaluate the health status of labor and neonate patients. The RN collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare teams to establish realistic and measurable goals while maintaining safe and effective care throughout the episode of care.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care and monitor responses during labor, delivery, and postpartum phases.
• Promote wellness for mothers during pregnancy and after delivery through continuous education.
• Educate mothers about infant care.
• Document all events and patient education in medical records.
• Communicate patient condition to physicians and nursing supervisors.
• Assist in maintaining skills and learning procedures among staff.
• Collaborate with nursery nurses in the care of mother/baby couplets.
• Assist physicians with procedures as required.
• Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe environment for all patients.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Two years of nursing experience is required.
• Must maintain a current, active RN license in the State of Colorado.
• BLS and NRP certifications required; ACLS certification preferred.
• Minimum of an Associate's Degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
