Registered Nurse - Obstetrics

Full Time, 36 hours per week, 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM.

Job Description

The RN is responsible for providing direct patient care within the scope of their practice, specifically to women in labor, through delivery, postpartum, and to provide care to newborns. This includes ensuring all aspects of maternal childcare are met.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments and monitor the process of labor.
• Prepare for C-sections and inductions, along with documentation of nursing care.
• Administer care during labor, post-delivery, and postpartum, including infant care.
• Provide patient education and emotional support.
• Prepare the delivery room and coordinate patient transfers.
• Administer IV medications while adhering to principles of infection control and OB department policies.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• RN graduate with current Colorado licensure.
• Current CPR certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Certification and ACLS within one year of employment.
• 4 years of experience in obstetrics care preferred.
