Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) - Day Shift

Day shift, 5x8 hours (07:00 - 16:30), 1-2 days a week, and every few weekends.

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Operating Room Registered Nurse (RN) to provide high-quality care in a critical access hospital setting. The ideal candidate will have at least 2.5 years of experience in an operating room environment, with expertise in various surgical specialties.

Responsibilities

• Assist in various surgical procedures including general, orthopedic, gynecological, ophthalmological, and podiatric surgeries.
• Ensure patient safety and comfort during pre-operative and post-operative phases.
• Maintain a sterile environment and follow infection control protocols.
• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and provide necessary interventions.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2.5 years of experience as an OR RN.
• Active ACLS, BLS, and PALS certifications.
• New Mexico nursing license or Compact license required.
• Experience using Meditech charting system.
