Registered Nurse - Day Shift at PMC

This is a 13-week contract position, requiring a full-time commitment with a day shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide both routine and complex nursing care within a clinical setting, demonstrating a strong understanding of patient needs and managing contingencies in nursing practice. This role requires flexibility to float between the Primary Medical Care (PMC) facility and the Main campus as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients.
• Monitor and document patient history, symptoms, medications, and administered care.
• Administer medications and treatments while monitoring for side effects and treatment effectiveness.
• Assess patient education needs and provide necessary information to patients and families.
• Make appropriate assignments and delegate tasks to other care providers to manage clinical situations effectively.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current New Mexico RN license or current Compact state license.
• Current BLS Certification via AHA.
• Current ACLS Certification via AHA.
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in a related nursing specialty preferred.
