Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Full Time

Schedule

This position requires full-time availability, including day/evening shift variables, scheduled as needed by the client. Shifts are 7.5 hours long, with a requirement to work every weekend.

Job Description

As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA), you will provide direct and indirect resident care under the direction of licensed nursing personnel. You must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to deliver care that meets the age-specific needs of the patients in your assigned unit, primarily focusing on adult and geriatric populations.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) as outlined in their care plans and maintain a safe and comfortable environment.
• Ensure resident safety and environmental cleanliness while adhering to policies and procedures.
• Meet resident nutritional needs, including meal delivery and feeding assistance, while honoring their preferences and choices.
• Address residents' rehabilitative needs as per care plans, including mobility support and proper body alignment.
• Report any resident concerns, refusals, and changes in physical, emotional, or psychosocial status to the Charge Nurse promptly.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or RQI) is required.
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in Long-Term Care (LTC) or as a CNA is required.
