Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) - Part Time

Job Description

The Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing high-quality care to residents under the direction of licensed nursing personnel. This role involves performing both direct and indirect care activities while ensuring compliance with established policies and procedures. The CNA will demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to meet the individual needs of adult and geriatric patient groups, with a focus on their physical, emotional, and psychosocial well-being.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, grooming, dressing, and toileting care.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for residents, responding promptly to call lights and alarms.
• Support residents' nutritional needs, including meal delivery and feeding assistance.
• Facilitate residents’ rehabilitative needs, including range of motion exercises and proper body alignment.
• Report any concerns, refusals, or changes in residents’ status to the Charge Nurse in a timely manner.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• NYS Nursing Assistant Certification required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through AHA or RQI required.
• One year of previous long-term care (LTC) experience required.

Schedule

Must be able to start orientation on a Tuesday or Thursday for full shift. This is a part-time position with a rotational schedule covering 2 to 3 shifts biweekly.
